Manage Schema Objects Tutorials

The Manage screens have been provided to give the user one location to Add, Edit or Delete the many different objects in the Database Schema.

  1. Open the Manage Screen:
    There are a number of ways to open the Manage screens for all of the object types.   Choose the one you are most comfortable with.
    • Click "Schema -> Manage" from the menu then select the object type you wish to manage.

    • Right-Click anywhere in the schema, select Manage and then select the object type you wish to manage.

    • Most of the object types also have a keyboard shortcut to get to their Manage screens.   See Quick Tips
  2. Use the buttons on the right to Add, Edit or Delete objects as needed.

  3. A number of the objects allow you to move their creation order up and down.  
    1. If this option is available, click the Creation Order option.

    2. The buttons on the left ( from top down ) will:
      • Move the selected item to the top of the list.
      • Move the selected item up one spot in the list.
      • Insert a new item in the currently selected location.
      • Move the selected item down one spot in the list.
      • Move the selected item to the bottom of the list.

  4. Click the OK button to submit your changes.
    - Or -
    Click the Cancel button to discard your changes.

* While the methods described here are geared towards use with the Manage Object screens, they are also applicable in many other screens.   Specifically the Add, Edit, Delete, Insert and Movement commands.   Any other screens you come across that look like the Manage screens will function exactly the same way.
